Where it is used
The square curved washer has a curved bearing face that matches a round pole, so a bolt through the pole seats square instead of digging into one edge of a flat washer. It is used wherever a through-bolt or pole band crosses the round pole and the nut must bear evenly on the curved surface.
Installation sequence
- Select the washer for the bolt and pole size.
- Place it curve-down against the round pole.
- Run the nut up onto the flat back of the washer.
- Tighten so the curved face beds on the pole.
- Confirm even bearing with no edge digging.
