Where it is used

The square curved washer has a curved bearing face that matches a round pole, so a bolt through the pole seats square instead of digging into one edge of a flat washer. It is used wherever a through-bolt or pole band crosses the round pole and the nut must bear evenly on the curved surface.

Installation sequence

  1. Select the washer for the bolt and pole size.
  2. Place it curve-down against the round pole.
  3. Run the nut up onto the flat back of the washer.
  4. Tighten so the curved face beds on the pole.
