What Are Guy Attachments?
Pole line hardware is the broad category of steel fittings and brackets used to equip utility poles for overhead power distribution. It includes construction brackets (for transformers, neutral wires, conduits), cross arms (for conductor spacing), pole bands, pole steps, stay assemblies, and structural plates. All components must withstand outdoor weathering and mechanical loads over decades of service.
Types of Pole Line Hardware
Construction Brackets
Construction brackets mount distribution transformers, secondary racks, conduits, and neutral wires to the pole. Raxsteel manufactures the complete range including pole transformer brackets, neutral wire brackets, conduit standoff brackets, and universal pole brackets, all in hot-dip galvanized steel.
Cross Arms & Bracing
Electrical cross arms space conductors horizontally at the pole top. They are available in wood, steel, and fiberglass. Raxsteel supplies galvanized steel cross arms including rectangular section, alley arms, and associated bracing hardware such as angle braces, double arming plates, and guard arm braces.
Stay Assemblies & Structural Hardware
Stay (guy) assemblies transfer horizontal load from the pole to the ground anchor. A complete stay set includes the stay rod, bow, strain insulator, and anchor rod. Raxsteel supplies complete stay sets and individual components, all hot-dip galvanized to ASTM A153.
International Standards & Certifications
All Raxsteel pole line hardware is manufactured and tested to international standards. Our factory holds SGS quality certification and can provide full test reports, dimensional drawings, and material certificates with each order.
How to Choose a Pole Line Hardware Supplier
When sourcing pole line hardware from China, look for a factory that owns its own hot-dip galvanizing line, can provide certified test reports, offers custom fabrication to your drawings, and has verifiable experience supplying utilities. Raxsteel meets all these criteria and welcomes factory audits.
