The A-type cable suspension bolt hangs a suspension clamp or messenger fitting below a bracket or crossarm, suspending aerial cable from the support structure. Its eye-and-thread body bolts to the bracket and presents an eye for the clamp, carrying self-supporting or messenger-supported cable at tangent points.
Installation sequence
- Select the thread and length for the bracket and cable load.
- Bolt the threaded end through the bracket / arm.
- Secure with the square washer, nut and lock nut.
- Hang the suspension clamp from the eye.
- Lay the cable in the clamp and dress the span.

4. A-Type vs B-Type
The A-type is a bolt-form suspension; the B-type cable suspension screw drives into the structure where a through-bolt is not used. Choose by the support and access.
5. Galvanizing
Hot-dip galvanized to ASTM A-153, nut tapped to run over the zinc, for long aerial-cable service.
