The pigtail bolt is an open curled hook on a screw or bolt base, used to carry and dress aerial service cable or LV-ABC along a pole line without dead-ending it. The open curl lets a lineman drop the cable into the hook without threading the cable end — fast support for service drops and secondary runs.
Installation sequence
- Choose the screw or bolt base for the structure.
- Drive the lag screw or bolt the base into the pole / bracket.
- Confirm the pigtail curl faces the cable run.
- Drop the cable into the open hook.
- Dress the cable so it seats in the curl.
